I don't know if anyone else has heard of this yet, but the Cincinatti Bengals' wide reciever, Chad Ochocinco, announced that he will be starting his own news network using Twitter to break news from around the National Football League.
(Associated Press)- He plans on using his player contacts from around the league to break news about other teams through his Twitter feed that he dubbed the OCNN, Ochocinco News Network. He claims he will be competing for mainstream media to let fans know what's going on in the NFL. He's also doing this as part of his partnership with Motorola, using its smart phone technology.
Wow, Ochocinco is about to put ESPN, the NFL Network, Associated Press and all other media channels covering the NFL to shame. I hope the NFL(No Fun League) allows for him to do this, but I have a feeling they may put limitations on what news he can break as well as when the story can be made public. He's doing this all in good fun and since this is a business and he's an entertainer, I think he has a great idea that I hope takes off. I just might have to get a Twitter account........until we read again.

I had heard alittle bit about this and it certainly sounds like something Ochocinco would do. I hope the NFL allows this to happen, could be very interesting and humorous.
ReplyDeleteHopefully more humorous than STAY39, but that won't be hard. Ochocinco is changing his name again. Something in Japanese I think.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever watched his youstream? Chad is one of the best marketers ever, hes a genius with this stuff.
