Drizzy/Technology

I didn't attend the Drake concert, but thanks to some videos on Youtube I was able to catch a few songs. The video was recorded, uploaded, and put on the web.Without technology this wouldn't have been possible. It's that easy to make a music video and blow up.....ha. Who's the girl that got to go on stage? Must have been her lucky night. For all the fans Drake's coming out with a new album soon, "Thank Me Later", I think the release date as of now is June 15,2010 and I hear there are ridiculous guest spots????? Until we read again.

Presentations

The presentations went pretty smoothly and they were also very informative. In the past fifteen years there has been a dramatic increase in all fields of technology as well as the number of people that use it and what can be done with it. It seems as though everyone and their grandparents, literally, are using technology to stay in contact, do work/research and just as a means of entertainment. Technology is amazing and frustrating all at the same time, that is for me anyway. Well I guess I'm gonna get back to working on the webpage.....until we read again.

SBJ issue

Has anyone read the latest SBJ magazine? It was a great double issue that had the regular journal as well as an insert highlighting the different forms of technology used throughout the sporting industry. I found the special issue very interesting and I recommend everyone read it.....until we read again.

Crunchtime

Oh man, it's nearing the time of the semester that all heck breaks lose and procrastination is put aside to get down to the nitty gritty of the end of semester projects, tests, and presentations that have been all conveniently due around the same time, lol. I, like many of you, also feel this crunch and am stressing as well, just thought I'd throw that out there. I have yet to begin the technology project, it's difficult to find technology in the physical education field that can be used interactively with everyone in the class. Many of the tools used are designed as teaching aides to better help the class understand. I am searching for something fun but have yet to find anything, I may just have to use something related to the sport management field. Good luck to everyone with all their classes at this time and remember only 6 weeks left to go........until we read again.

Bengals' Ochocinco starts OCNN

I don't know if anyone else has heard of this yet, but the Cincinatti Bengals' wide reciever, Chad Ochocinco, announced that he will be starting his own news network using Twitter to break news from around the National Football League.
(Associated Press)- He plans on using his player contacts from around the league to break news about other teams through his Twitter feed that he dubbed the OCNN, Ochocinco News Network. He claims he will be competing for mainstream media to let fans know what's going on in the NFL. He's also doing this as part of his partnership with Motorola, using its smart phone technology.
Wow, Ochocinco is about to put ESPN, the NFL Network, Associated Press and all other media channels covering the NFL to shame. I hope the NFL(No Fun League) allows for him to do this, but I have a feeling they may put limitations on what news he can break as well as when the story can be made public. He's doing this all in good fun and since this is a business and he's an entertainer, I think he has a great idea that I hope takes off. I just might have to get a Twitter account........until we read again.

1st blog.....ever

What's up everyone? Shuda here, to be straight with everyone I have little experience using technology. I'm not really into twittering, facebook, or myspace etc., but I definitely don't have anything against them. I found that giving athletes and high profile stars the ability to be there own public relations director can be entertaining or a nightmare depending on the subject and content of the posting. One thing is for sure, many professional athletes aren't afraid to speak their mind which leads to some very interesting posts. They sometimes take freedom of speech to a whole new level, but in reality that's what keeps everyone coming back for more. Hope everyone liked my perception of the blogging scene and hopefully you keep coming back as well, goodbye for now.......until we read again.
